Last week, BROWNS junior students visited The Southport School (TSS)*, one of the most prestigious private high schools on the Gold Coast. During their visit, they had the opportunity to meet with local students and teach them about their countries and cultures.
They had a great time and this is what they said about this wonderful experience at TSS.
“Today I taught them how to say the full name of Bangkok in Thai language. I also taught them how to ‘Wai’ (bow) to their parents and teachers in Thai culture. I’m very happy with them.” Nun (Thailand)

“Sharing my hometown with little boys was an interesting experience for the IELTS class and the smile on their faces was the best response to my day.” Rick (Taiwan)
“I introduced my country’s geography, location, and a bit about student life to the lovely little boys. I also made soy milk which is a traditional Chinese breakfast.” Idelle (Taiwan)
“I told these interested boys something about my country, Belgium. Most of them already knew that there are three languages spoken but they didn’t know what Belgium was famous for; chocolates, hot chips and beer!” Katherin (Belgium)
*The Southport School (TSS) is a private Anglican day and boarding school for boys from Prep Year to Year 12 which is just 10 minutes away from BROWNS Gold Coast campus.
