English and Activities for Young Learners on the Gold Coast with PSP+

What an amazing first week of our PSP+ Program for our young explorers! Our students had fun, made new friends, and tried lots of exciting activities around the Gold Coast. Every day was full of smiles, laughter, and learning — both in and outside the classroom.

Monday, 14th July 2025 – Welcome & Aussie Olympics
We started the week with big smiles and warm hellos. Everyone got to know each other in the morning and talked about where they’re from. In the afternoon, we played fun team games for our very own “Aussie Olympics” —jumping, laughing, and working together like true champions.

Tuesday, 15th July 2025 – SkyPoint & Beach Time!
Tuesday was beach day. After learning some new English in the morning, we went up, up, up to the top of SkyPoint to see the whole Gold Coast. It was so high! Then we played on the sand at the beach— it was such a fun afternoon at the beach.

Wednesday, 16th July 2025 – Art & Handprints
This day was all about being creative. In class, we learned words about colours, shapes, and feelings. Then we made beautiful handprint art in the afternoon — tracing, colouring, and decorating out handprints to assemble into a class mural.

Thursday, 17th July 2025 – Puzzle Challenge!
Today was full of mystery and fun. We worked in teams to solve puzzles and explore the Challenge Rooms at Hijinx Hotel. It was like a real-life adventure game. We had to think fast, work together, and win points — and we did it.

Friday, 18th July 2025 – Sports in the Park
We started Friday morning with a reading assessment, learning key vocabulary about book reviews. We then got hands-on and learned how to make recycled paper! It was messy and fun.
Friday afternoon was all about fresh air and movement. We played typical Australian ball games and fun team games in the park with our new friends. We started with table tennis inside before heading out to the park, hoping not to get caught in the brief light rain. We all had a blast running, laughing, and cheering each other on.

Saturday, 19th July 2025 – Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
What a wild adventure! On Saturday, we visited the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and saw koalas, kangaroos, crocodiles, and more! Some of us even fed birds and petted friendly animals. It was such a cool way to end the week.

We’ve had such a fun first week, and we can’t wait to see what’s coming next. More games, more learning, and more adventures with our amazing friends. Stay tuned for Week 2.
