Our third week of the Junior Holiday program provided the students with such an amazing environment full of fun and knowledge.

The classroom has become an important place for students to share and learn with each other. The outdoor activities have made this experience even better, giving students the chance to learn and practice their English skills in the real world.

Tuesday, 27th January 2026:
Tuesday’s topic was about clothes and fashion, with a focus on speaking skills and vocabulary. Students shared what they enjoy about fashion and their own styles. They learned about different clothes and other commonly used expressions.

The afternoon activity was a fashion design competition. They assembled in teams and selected a theme for their fashion show. Then they showed their creativity and originality  while they were learning about the world of designing clothes, all by reusing recyclable materials.

Wednesday, 21st January 2026:
Today was all about Holidays! Students learn a lot about different holidays around the world and shared their own personal favourite holidays.

Later in the day, students had the chance to learn some dancing skills with a professional dance teacher. They had fun with their classmates and enjoyed this outdoor activity by learning some different choreographies and movements.

Thursday, 22nd January 2026:
Today the lesson was all about Music. The focus was building vocabulary and learning useful phrases regarding the world of music and musical instruments. Students spent time sharing their own interests regarding songs and famous artists. They talked about singers, bands, groups and concerts.

In the afternoon, we headed out to downtown Broadwater Parklands and went on a ferry trip around the city of Gold Coast. Students had the chance to check different areas of the city, learn about them as well as share a good time with their classmates.

Friday, 30th January 2026:
Today, students practiced using the Past Simple and Past Continuous tenses. Through peer interviews and interactive worksheets, they practiced sharing stories and describing past events with confidence.

Homework: Students are keeping a “Weekend Diary” to practice their new grammar at home! In the afternoon, we dived into Australian Slang and Culture. After a fun “guess the meaning” competition and a video on Aussie facts, the class played a lively game of Aussie Charades. We ended the day with a creative Marketing Challenge, where teams designed posters and slogans for famous Australian products. It was a fantastic day of teamwork and creativity! To end the day, we packed up and headed to the park for an exciting Scavenger Hunt! It was a fantastic way to enjoy the sunshine and practice teamwork.

Saturday, 31st  January 2025:

To wrap up Week 2, students enjoyed a full-day excursion to Movie world . The group spent the day exploring the rides, attractions, and themed areas of one of Australia’s most famous theme parks.

Many students chose to go on the DC Rivals HyperCoaster and other thrill rides, while others enjoyed calmer attractions, live shows, and the character parade featuring well-known Warner Bros. characters. Throughout the day, students also had time to explore different areas of the park, visit shops, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the park.

It was a fun and memorable day, and a great way to relax and celebrate after a week of activities.
