
Monday – 16 February 2026
The week began with a Mini Scientists session that encouraged problem-solving and teamwork. Students worked together on a marshmallow tower challenge, which was a big success and sparked lots of discussion, planning, and collaboration. While the slime-making activity unfortunately did not pan out as planned, students remained engaged and enthusiastic, showing resilience and a positive attitude when things did not go exactly as expected.
Tuesday – 17 February 2026
On Tuesday, students focused on Australian etiquette and functional language in the morning before moving into a Diamond Gem Painting activity in the afternoon. Students were highly focused and absorbed in the task, carefully designing their artwork and supporting each other. Although most students were unable to fully complete their gem paintings within the session, the activity encouraged patience, concentration, and creativity.
Wednesday – 18 February 2026
Wednesday’s excursion to DopamineLand was a highlight of the week. This immersive and interactive experience allowed students to explore colourful spaces designed to spark joy and curiosity. The pillow fight room was by far the most popular, with students laughing, moving, and enjoying the playful atmosphere together. The excursion provided a fun way to relax while continuing to build shared memories as a group.
Thursday – 19 February 2026
Thursday focused on sports and fitness-related language in the morning, followed by an afternoon visit to an adventure playground at South Bank. Students enjoyed being active outdoors, working together, and practising communication in a relaxed, social environment
Friday – 20 February 2026
Friday was a chance to celebrate the end of the program with a class party. Students reflected on their learning, shared favourite memories, and enjoyed spending time together in a fun and informal setting, marking a positive and rewarding conclusion to their PSP experience.
Saturday – River Cruise – 21 February 2026
The final day featured a river cruise, giving students a chance to see Brisbane from the water and enjoy the city one last time. After the cruise, students went back to the campus for some colouring and journal entries. They reflected on both the cruise and their time in their PSP journey.
Week 6 Conclusion
Week 6 was a meaningful and memorable way to conclude the PSP program. From hands-on classroom activities and creative projects to exciting excursions and shared celebrations, students demonstrated growth in confidence, communication, and independence. It was a wonderful final week, and we wish all students the very best in their next adventures.
