People often come to the Gold Coast because they love the water and the beach. Unfortunately, every year people drown in Australia because the sea, although enticing, is dangerous because of the waves, currents and jellyfish. Understanding the importance of going in the water between the flags can mean you can enjoy the water safely as you will always have someone watching you. We were lucky to have Scott Harrison from the Surf Life Saving Foundation deliver a fun presentation on staying safe in the water to both our High School and Adult students. Here are a few pictures to remind you, and a link to read about what you need to do to stay safe on the beach: http://lifesaving.com.au/beach-safety/
