KITE DAY

September we recognise RedKite through our Elevate program. RedKite an Australian charity providing essential support to children and young people with cancer, as well as the family and support network who care for them. Redkite provides physical, emotional, and financial help for those affected in order to give them the best quality of life possible.

Students in the High School Preparation program at BROWNS made kites from paper, string, and tape, as well as coloured markers to decorate, to help promote the organisation as well as partake in some creative activities. Once the students had made the kites in the classroom, they went to Roma Street Parklands. Even though it wasn’t too windy, they managed to get them up in the air.
