EQI INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WELCOME CEREMONY
On Thursday 14th February, a group of 10 High School Preparation (HSP) students from BROWNS attended the EQI International Students Welcome Ceremony, hosted by Bond University. 11 out of the 12 Government schools on the Gold Coast were present, with BROWNS English Language School being a special invitation each year.
Suzanne Tones from EQI, hosted the interactive session with speakers Calvin Masson, the International Regional Manager from Bond University and Mohit Trivedi, Program Coordinator from Study Gold Coast, finishing with an inspiring testimony from international student Sara Olberg from Norway.
On the Gold Coast there are currently 60% domestic students and 40% international students, from over 130 countries. The ceremony sent a supportive and encouraging message to these 2019 EQI new starters, welcoming them into a very diverse and invigorating student community.
