Hello, I’m writing to you because I would like to recommend the homestay family which has been welcoming me for the last three months while studying at BROWNS English Language School in Brisbane.
It was a wonderful experience, and thanks to my homestay host Sarah, I have significantly improved my English level and very quickly. I’m sure that without her, I would be less confident than I am now. Indeed, she spent a lot of time talking with me, not only basic conversations but also to watch movies and series together. Different exercises for practicing and listening to English while having fun!
In addition, she was always here to help and support me. It was truly reassuring, mostly while being in another country, far from my family, without a good level of English. For example:
– She came with me to school for my first day to show me the way.
-She went with me to some medical appointments to help me to understand and to be understandable by the professional.
-When I fell down the stairs, she immediately called the emergency number and gave the news to my mother back home.
-When I was sick, she took care of me for five days and she even brought me my meals in my bedroom.
Sarah is a considerate woman and she does everything she can to please you. She was careful with my allergy to gluten and she always prepared me balanced meals because it was important for me to pay attention to my weight.
In conclusion, it’s a really good family. I feel happy and lucky to spend three months with them.
