International Food Day Ielts Class

Out of sixteen students in our Gold Coast IELTS class, we have twelve nationalities! (click here to see the BROWNS nationality mix) This cultural mix is not only beneficial and exciting from a language learning point of view, but it also means everyone can learn about each other’s’ cultures. Last week, the teacher organised for everyone to make a dish from their own country and bring it to class. They presented on their food and then ate during the lunch break. Dishes as varied as Swedish cinnamon buns and potato salad, Brazilian brigadero, Thai Pad Thai, Japanese sushi, Spanish cheese balls and Taiwanese dumplings  whet the appetite of everyone.
