Primary School Program (PSP): Big Smiles, Big Energy and Big Adventures in Brisbane
Our Primary School Program (PSP) welcomed this January 2026 the new students for a week full of colour, creativity and joyful learning in Brisbane. From the very first day, the focus was on helping students feel confident, connected and excited to learn English in a fun and supportive environment.
A Joyful Start
On Monday, students arrived ready to make new friends. Ice-breaking activities helped everyone feel comfortable, and creativity took centre stage as children decorated their own tote bags with Australian animals. These personalised bags quickly became a fashion statement throughout the program.
Despite coming from different countries and cultures, students discovered how much they had in common. They sang English songs together, laughed, and even created their own dance routines, using music as a shared language to connect and express themselves.
Movement, Games and Confidence
Tuesday was a big hit with dance classes combining hip hop, K-pop and jazz. The energy was contagious, and students loved learning new moves while following instructions in English — building both confidence and listening skills in a playful way.
On Wednesday, it was time for the Aussie Olympics, a fun-filled day inspired by Australia’s sporting spirit — made even more exciting knowing that Brisbane will host the Olympic Games in 2032. Students took part in activities like trivia challenges and the much-loved thong toss, learning Australian slang and culture while cheering each other on.
Exploring Brisbane Together
Thursday brought another favourite activity: bowling. Full of excitement and friendly competition, the session encouraged teamwork, turn-taking and plenty of English conversation between students.
On Friday, learning moved outdoors with a scavenger hunt at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, one of the city’s most iconic and beautiful locations. Children followed clues, explored nature and worked together to solve challenges — all while practising English in a natural, hands-on way.
The week ended on a high note with an unforgettable trip to Dreamworld, where students enjoyed thrilling rides and met iconic Australian animals like kangaroos and white tigers — a magical experience that perfectly wrapped up an incredible week.
Learning Through Fun
The Primary School Program is designed to show young learners that English can be learned through play, movement, creativity and friendship. Every activity is carefully planned to support language development while keeping children engaged, happy and inspired.
With laughter echoing through classrooms and adventures across Brisbane, the PSP proves that learning English can be one of the most exciting parts of the school holidays.
