Week 3 of the Primary school holiday program provided the students with amazing learning opportunities indoors and outdoors full of fun and knowledge. The classroom has been challenging students in their English skills and also been a place for making new friends and sharing culture and knowledge. The outdoor activities have made this experience even better, giving students the chance to learn and practise their English skills in the real world as well as further develop social skills.

Monday, 2nd February 2026:
The lesson focused on reviewing basic vocabulary, with an emphasis on speaking and comprehension skills. Students practiced and reinforced familiar words through guided activities and discussions. Additionally, they worked on developing their numeracy skills by practicing addition and subtraction through interactive math exercises. In the afternoon, students worked in groups and shared meaningful moments while learning about Aboriginal art. They explored traditional symbols and patterns and expressed their creativity through collaborative art activities.

Tuesday, 3rd February 2026:
The lesson focused on exploring nature, with an emphasis on observation and hands-on learning. Students practiced caring for plants and learned interesting facts about turtles through guided activities and discussions. In addition, they developed awareness of responsibility and the environment through interactive tasks. In the afternoon, they had the chance to explore an Australian reptile exhibition, where they could touch and take photos with snakes, lizards, turtles, and other animals, sharing fun moments together while learning about wildlife.

Wednesday, 4th February 2026:
The lesson focused on learning about the Australian wombat, with an emphasis on observation and discussion. Students explored facts about this native animal and, through art activities, reflected on self-perception and personal expression. In addition, they developed creativity and awareness of themselves and the natural world through interactive tasks. In the afternoon, they worked in teams and shared great moments while cooking lamingtons together, developing teamwork skills through a hands-on activity.

Thursday, 5th February 2026:
The lesson focused on learning facts about Australia, with an emphasis on reading and discussion. Students explored interesting information about the country and practiced their writing skills through a guided writing workshop. In addition, they developed creativity and language skills through interactive tasks. For our afternoon activity, the students headed to Holey Moley for a fun round of indoor mini-golf. They had a great time navigating through nine themed courses, which was a wonderful opportunity to practice their focus in a creative setting. Everyone had a fantastic time cheering for each other, and it was a perfect way to build friendship and share plenty of laughs outside the classroom.

Friday, 6th February 2026:
Today’s lesson focused on reviewing and consolidating previously learned vocabulary. Students summarized key words from recent classes and participated in an English spelling competition, which helped reinforce spelling accuracy, pronunciation, and confidence. In the afternoon, we headed to the park to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine together playing some Aussie sports and games. It was a wonderful way to end the week, building new friendships and enjoying the beautiful outdoors!

Saturday, 7th February 2026:
To finish the week, students visited SeaWorld on Saturday for a fun and memorable experience. They watched an exciting dolphin show, petted and fed stingrays, and enjoyed a variety of roller coasters and rides, including a pirate boat adventure. The visit was filled with laughter, curiosity, and lots of enthusiasm from the students.

Overall, it was a great opportunity for students to learn outside the classroom and interact with animals in a meaningful way. They showed great interest and excitement throughout the day, making it a memorable end to a fantastic week in the Junior Holiday Program (PSP+).
