Last week (9–11 July 2025), our Gold Coast campus welcomed a group of Japanese students for an unforgettable three-day Study Tour experience filled with learning, laughter, and creativity.
Day 1 – Orientation & Aussie Insights
Wednesday marked the students’ first day at BROWNS English Language School (BROWNS), and the excitement was undeniable. After a warm welcome, students participated in an engaging Orientation and Campus Tour to get to know their new learning environment. The morning continued with an introduction to Australian and New Zealand culture, geography, native animals, and even some classic Aussie slang. In the afternoon, students worked on a creative media project – an Australia-themed video they would develop over the next three days.
Day 2 – Poetry, Grammar & Filming Fun
On Thursday, the day began with some brain teasers and riddles to get the creativity flowing. The group then explored an acrostic poem about Australia, each student contributing a line and decorating a class poster together. Lessons on adjectives, comparatives, and superlatives followed, culminating in a lively “Good Better Best” grammar competition. The afternoon was dedicated to filming segments for their teen news project, covering Australian weather, sports, trends, and travel—an exciting way to practise language skills while embracing digital storytelling.
Day 3 – Presentations, Posters & Retail Adventures
Friday brought the grand premiere of the students’ news project, Delicious Apple News, shared with a live student audience. The screening was filled with laughter and pride, as the students saw their hard work come to life. Language lessons continued with a focus on shopping vocabulary to prepare for the afternoon excursion. Students also updated their daily diaries, completed their colourful “Australia” posters, and posed for some fun souvenir photos. The day concluded with a shopping adventure at Harbour Town Premium Outlets, where students explored Australian fashion.
