Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Park

The Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Park is a nature reserve wetland on the Gold Coast, just a short drive or bus trip from Southport.

The Conservation Area is home to 274 species of animals, so you can expect to see plenty of wildlife including kangaroos, koalas, and birds.

The park is ideal for short and long walks, bike riding, trail running, and birdwatching, and the perfect place to get up close to native wildlife.

When visiting, be sure to take water, sunscreen, and a hat. There are no onsite toilets.

The park is accessible daily between 6am and 6pm.

How to get there (from Southport) by bus?

  • Head to bus stop at Scarborough Street at Marshall Lane, Southport
  • Catch bus Route 719 (travel time is approximately 27 minutes)
  • Exit bus at Pine Ridge Road, at Coombabah Road, Biggera Waters
  • Walk 851 metres (travel time is approximately 13 minutes)
  • Arrive Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Area
